06 DAYS / 05 NIGHTS

Day 1: Katunayake | Negombo

Arrival at the international airport in Colombo, formalities for entry and baggageclaim. Meeting with guide and transfer to Negombo.

Negombo is slightly north of Colombo and close to the airport, and was formerlythe centre of the cinnamon trade. It has a picturesque lagoon, numerous Catholicchurches and an impressive network of canals built by the Dutch which arecurrently being restored. It also has an active fishing industry.

Dinner and overnight at Goldi Sands Hotel Negombo – Standard rooms

Day 2: Negombo |Sigiriya | Dambulla

Breakfast at the hotel and there after transfer to Sigiriya.Check in on arrival at the hotel.Evening climb the rock fortress Sigiriya

The Rock Fortress of Sigiriya. Located 300 meters high, was built on top of amonolith of red stone that dominates a harmonious set of gardens. The palacebuilt on the summit is reached by a narrow staircase that winds through the hugepaws of a stone lion.

Dinner and overnight at Sigiriana Resort by Thilanka – Deluxe rooms

Day 3: Dambulla | Kandy

Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure to Kandy, stopping along the way to visit the Dambulla Cave Temples, religious-historical place where they are kept in 5 different caves 150 Buddha statues. Dambulla is believed to have been founded in the first century BC King Vattaganemani.
Continuation and spice garden in Matale, to discover the fragrant spices of the island and also where you will be offered a massage with herbs (head or feet) lasting 10 minutes.

Lunch at Spice Garden 

Arrival in Kandy, accommodation. Afternoon visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth of Buddha, containing the most revered relic in Sri Lanka, and retaining extraordinary testimonies of the past with its greatest symbol of Buddhism.

 
Dinner and overnight at Radisson Hotel Kandy – Superior rooms

Day 4: Kandy | Panadura (Beach)

After Breakfast leave for Panadura.
Check in on arrival at the hotel and rest of the day at leisure.
Dinner and overnight at Jie Jie Beach by Jetwing – Standard rooms

Day 5: Panadura (Beach)
Breakfast at the hotel.
Day excursion to Galle and en route Boat ride at Madu river and Turtle Hatchery visit.
City tour in Galle and Walk in the Galle Fort. Galle Fort was built first in 1588 by the  Portuguese, and then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards. It is a historical, archaeological and architectural heritage monument, which even after more than 423 years maintains a polished appearance, due to extensive reconstruction work done by Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka.


Return back to the hotel and rest of the day at leisure.
Dinner and overnight at Jie Jie Beach by Jetwing – Standard rooms

Day 6: Panadura | Katunayake
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the airport for flights to return to the city of origin.
